Depart Heathrow on British Airways to Mother Teresa International airport in Tirana, meet your private guide and transfer to your hotel in Tirana.
Spend some initial time exploring the city, enjoy dinner at one of the plethora of restaurant and overnight in your centrally located hotel.

Tirana, Albania’s vibrant capital, is a city of colourful surprises and diverse experiences. Explore the bustling Skanderbeg Square and visit the historic Ethem Bey Mosque, the administrative buildings and Bunk’art 2. You can then head to the newly reconstructed pyramid. Check out the vibrant Blloku district with its plethora of bars and cafes. Today is probably the day for heading up Dajti Mountain in the cable car for stunning views of the city! Overnight at your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Durres.
Durres with its Venetian tower, Byzantine walls, and ancient Roman ruins, including the historic Roman Amphitheatre. Afterward, enjoy a wine tasting at the Abaia winery. Relax by the Adriatic sea and overnight at Hotel Arvi (or similar).
Breakfast at the hotel. We move South today, for the Gateway to the Albanian Riviera, Vlore. On the way, we will stop at the ruins at Apollonia and/or the wonderful Zvernec Monastery.
Explore Vlore: Discover the historic Independence Monument, symbolizing Albania’s freedom. Explore the picturesque Muradie Mosque and the flag square. Stroll along the scenic Lungomare, a vibrant promenade offering views of the sea. Visit the National Museum of Independence. As the building which hosted the operations of the very first Albanian government, the Museum of independence in Vlorë is strategically positioned in a location that testifies to its significance, near the port, with a beautiful view of the sea. Feeling energetic? Climb the steps up to Kuzum Baba for a great view!!Opportunity here to join a boat ride out into the bay taking in Sazan Island and Karaburun Peninsula. Overnight at Kraal Hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel before heading off to Gjirokaster this morning. On the way we’ll stop at the Blue Eye natural spring.
Gjirokaster: The lively Old Bazaar invites visitors to explore local crafts, flavours, and centuries-old traditions, while the city’s unique stone architecture creates a timeless, enchanting atmosphere. A visit to Gjirokastra is a journey through Albania’s rich heritage, where every corner holds a piece of history. Gjirokastra Castle is situated at a height of 336 metres. It dominates the town and overlooks the strategically important route along the river valley, offering spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Visit the Ethnographic Museum of Gjirokastra. The museum building was constructed in 1966 after the original house was destroyed by fire. The reconstruction was designed to represent traditional a Gjirokastran house with many classic features known to have been copied from particular houses around the city. Overnight at Hotel Kalemi or similar.
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Berat – the City of a Thousand Windows Visit the Onufri Museum. The Museum holds 200 artwork objects, icons and liturgical items dated from the14th century to the 20th, brought together from several churches and monasteries of the region. Also, be sure to check out the Mishaxhiu Gardens Guesthouse for some homemade raki, turkish coffee and jam. Berat is a fabulous culinary city. We can also arrange everything from wine tasting and vineyard tours through to cooking schools so you can learn some traditional local skills and recipes!! Other recommendations here: Quad biking or rafting in the Osumi Canyon for a bit of adventure. Overnight at Hotel Onufri or similar.
